When the CX-9 first debuted in 2007 all eyebrows rose as Mazda has built a very competitive SUV with the Zoom Zoom driving characteristics, unlike the Tribute and Navajo which were very slow selling SUV's. Now in its 2013 model year the CX-9 looks grown up, power comes from a 3.7 L V6 with a 6-Speed Automatic and it can be had with All Wheel drive. On the interior it is fairly sporty with red illuminated controls everywhere making it look like a BMW inside and material quality is also decent. Is the CX-9 able to steal sales from the popular Ford Explorer or Honda Pilot? We think so especially with Mazda's new design language the Kodo Design .
