Cleaning old potassium metal

In this video, I clean some potassium metal that I left out neglected for a while. It was covered in oxides. We first needed to neutralize the oxides, and then the potassium was melted down. • I am in no way advocating that this is the best way to clean old potassium. Also, there are always fire risks involved. • I also just made 300g+ more mercury thiocyanate to make a new Pharaoh's Snake video. • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Merch - https://nilered.tv/store • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • ■ NileRed is now available on Nebula! https://go.nebula.tv/nilered • Join the community: • Patreon - / nilered • Discord - / discord • NileRed Newsletter - https://nile.red/home#newsletter • You can also find me here: • Facebook - / nilered2 • Instagram - / nile.red • Twitter - / nilered2 • Nile talks about lab safety: • Chemistry is dangerous.
