Birthing Cave Trail Hike – Sedona – Arizona – USA • This 1.9-mile round-trip trail leads to a stunning cave that offers stunning views of Sedona’s red cliffs. • The trail is wide, flat, and sandy for most of the way. However, the last part of the trail is steep and requires climbing the cliff face to reach Birthing Cave. • The entrance to the cave already offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. To get a better view of the inside of the cave, simply climb up the walls of this cave. • Be careful as the walls of the cave are smooth and there are not many places to hold on to while climbing. • It is also possible to walk to a higher level on one of the ledges of the cave. However, if you lose your footing, the fall can be fatal. • What is the name of this cave? The Hopi, native to the Red Rock region of Sedona, believe that their people were born from the center of the Earth.
