The reason for the visit is quite clear, LSL running an empty stock set from Euston back to Crewe being lead by a class 40! Class 40 back on the mainline. 40145 leads the mixed set with Intercity 90002 on the back northbound on the down slow through Wolverton, as it approaches the station it actually takes power too.
