Healthy Dessert Idea: Homemade Protein Packed Peanut Butter Cups • Happy Tuesday! “COMMENT CANDY” below in the comments, and I'll send the recipe your way or check out the recipe here 🔽 • Homemade Protein Pack Reese’s • Makes 36 Mini Cups (May vary depending on size) • Ingredients: • 1 cup organic peanut butter (smooth and unsweetened) • 3 tablespoons coconut oil (for filling and chocolate) • Half a scoop of Protein Powder (We used the Brownie Batter from Flavcity) @flavcity • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips • A Pinch of Salt (optional) @celticseasalt • Method: • 1. Place a small pot of water over low heat and simmer. Cover the pot with a heatproof bowl, ensuring the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water (this is your double boiler setup). • 2. Add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to the bowl. Stir the chocolate mixture constantly as it melts to ensure it’s smooth. • 3. Place your silicone molds on a tray or baking sheet to keep them steady. Add melted chocolate to each mold using a small spoon, spreading it to cover the bottom and halfway up the sides to create the base. • 4. Freeze the tray for 5-10 minutes to allow the chocolate layer to set. • 5. Combine the peanut butter, protein powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Stir until smooth and well blended. The texture should be thick but spreadable, similar to cookie dough. • 6. Add the peanut butter mixture to each mold once the chocolate base is firmed. • 7. Spoon more melted chocolate over each peanut butter-filled cup, covering the filling completely and sealing it in. • 8. Freeze the tray for 10-15 minutes or until the cups are fully set. • 9. Once set, pop the cups out of the molds and enjoy! • 10. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 2 months. • Peace, Joy, and Blessings!
