It's often described as an advanced distance vector protocol as it had both links state and distance vector like features. • EIGRP uses a three step process. • Become neighbours - Two routers running EIGRP form a neighbour relationship • Exchange routing information - The neighbouring routers send full update and then partial updates if any changes occur • Choose the best routes - Each router chooses the best routes to add to its routing table based route metric • #ccna #cisco #networking
