You need a hole in a shell to make a necklace or hole in a piece of glass which you found on the beach? In this short video I will show you how to drill holes into glass and shells and what doesn't work... • • 1. The first step is to get the proper tools for the job. Here you will be required to buy an assortment of glass/tile bits that can be easily found online or at a local hardware store. • • 2. Place the glass on a very flat surface where it will be supported well so that it does not break. I like to place the glass or shell under water, which keeps it cool. You can you also spray the glass with water, but I prefer submerging it into water. Stay clear of the corners and measure the location of the hole ensuring that you stay as far as possible from edges and corners. • • 3.The final step is the actual drilling. Use firm, steady pressure and moderate speed (600 to 700 rpm) until you’re nearly done.
