Residents living along Fanning Bridge Road are expressing their relief to a new ordinance in the town. Fletcher City Council has banned the use of compression brakes, also known as Jake Brakes. People have complained the grinding noise has kept them up and even in some instances shook their homes. Now signs line the road to inform truckers of the new law.
