Follow the story of RSPB Geltsdale's transformation from a former sheep farm into a haven for wildlife of all kinds. We have worked in partnership and had support from the North Pennnines National Landscape team through peatland restoration works, the Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and the Farming in Protected Landscape programmes, funded by Defra. Support and advice from Natural England and agri–environment funding is incredibly important: supporting us and our tenants to farm with nature. Other funding includes support from Northumbrian Water for the restoration of Howgill Beck, via its South Tyne project, which is improving water quality and biodiversity through partnership working, and its Bluespaces project, which is improving the quality of publicly-accessible rivers, lakes and coastal waters. • • #nature #rivers #farming #conservation #birds
