Field devices can be accessed through a network infrastructure using the configuration frame application FieldCare. On a PROFIBUS DP/PA network, a gateway component can be the point of access to all field devices. The network component for the device access in this clip is the Fieldgate SFG500, a PROFIBUS DP to Ethernet TCP/IP gateway.
