Every 2023 Dodge Hornet GT comes with an engine more typically offered as optional, a turbocharged, 268-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pairs with standard all-wheel drive. Hornet pricing starts at just over $31,000, including destination, meaning it has a whole lot of horsepower for the money. But how well does it do other compact SUV things like interior roominess and MPG? • In our first drive, we got behind the wheel of the GT as well as the 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T, which is the more-powerful version that’s a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with electrified powertrain that provides around 30 miles of all-electric driving range and a “Power Shot” boost mode.
