2024-06-18 - Thermopanel Square Drain Shower Tray Installation Guide - 2024 • In this video we guide you through how to install our Thermopanel Square Drain Shower Trays. • First, put the shower tray in the correct position and mark around the tray to establish which section of the floorboards needs to be removed. • Once the floorboards are removed, measure and mark where your drain and waste pipe will be fitted. • Cut a piece of plywood to support the drain for drain body, this should be 10mm higher than the waste pipe. Connect the drain body to the waste pipe with solvent wield, checking also for leaks before the installation of your shower tray. • Fix a batten below the top of the joists. • Once you’re satisfied with the drainage, place plywood around the drain and fix into position. • • Spread the adhesive over the area where the shower tray is to be installed, being careful to clean any adhesive on the rim of the trap. • • Ensure that the surface is smooth and level. • Fix the Thermopanel shower tray into position, with a spirit level check that all edges of the tray are level, whilst using waterproof tape to connect all joint and wall corners. • Seal all wall and floor joints utilising Thermopanel waterproof membrane or paste. • Seal all corners of the shower area with Thermopanel inside corner membrane or paste, • Set the O-ring on inlet with seal and put in. • If there’s a height difference between the tile and drain, use the riser piece to balance the difference. • The riser piece can be seen here. • The shower base is finished and can be tiled. • Thermopanel Website: https://www.thermopanel.co.uk/
