Day 6 of 2023 Week of Rivers was a a BANGER! Over the course of the week, we were building to something bigger, something better. I had a plan. The first two days were warm ups on the Tuckasegee and Nantahala Rivers. We followed with a trip to the best level-up creek in the land, Wilson Creek Gorge. Wilson was a horizon expanding day that exploded what many thought for themselves as within the realm of possibilities. Day 4 found us at the Cheoah for an elf (extra low flow) lap. The team was gaining not only tangible paddling skills but also the experiences and nuances of creeking with a team - etiquette, keeping optimal distance, making room for one another on the river, order of movement, non-vocal communication, and finally learning how to process my beta and turn it into a good line (and I learning each paddler so as to offer the tailored beta that will help make each of their lines a success). All this work (and incredible fun) led to a day like no other on the Tellico! We ran the Ledges and the Middle and then finished off with a huckfest on Bald River Falls! There is nothing like vertical kayaking! Kayak Waterfalls with a group of friends - it doesnt get much better! • Always carry a safety whistle! - https://amzn.to/3XI5Ab6 • Join this channel: •    / @riverkingskayak
