Without receiving OTP (One-Time Password) and without downloading APK apps, deposits in accounts have been transferred. How did this happen? Contact the following numbers: • a. Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) Fraud Response Center: 03-26101559/1599 • b. Bank Negara TELELINK: 1-300-88-5465 • 3. Report the incident to any police station. • ⚠️ Information Correction: • 1. Malaysian credit cards use EMV chips and require a PIN for transactions. Credit cards cannot be easily cloned. • 2. The concern about APK apps is limited to Android phones only. Apple devices do not have this issue. • 3. Investigation data suggests that bank account theft incidents occur not due to APK apps but for other reasons.
