I would like to pay tribute to Aerosmith with the songs • I’ve been a Korean big fan of Aerosmith since I was very young. • Here are just a few songs that come to mind without any filter: • *1st album:* Dream On, Somebody, Write Me a Letter, Mama Kin • *2nd album:* Pandora’s Box, Woman of the World, Lick and a Promise • *3rd album:* Toys in the Attic, Big Ten Inch Record, Walk This Way • *4th album:* Back in the Saddle, Rats in the Cellar, Home Tonight, Combination • *5th album:* Draw the Line, Kings and Queens • *6th album:* Night in the Ruts • *7th album:* Rock in a Hard Place • *8th album:* Permanent Vacation, Angel, The Movie (instrumental) • *9th album:* Young Lust, What It Takes, Hangman Jury • *10th album:* Get a Grip, Flesh, Amazing, Cryin’, Crazy • *11th album:* Nine Lives, Kiss Your Past Goodbye, Falling in Love, Full Circle, Ain’t That a Bitch • *12th album:* Just Push Play, Jaded, Sunshine, Fly Away from Here • *Covers Album Honkin' on Bobo:* Never Loved a Girl, Eyesight to the Blind, The Grind, Shame*3 • *12th album:* Oh Yeah, We All Fall Down, Legendary Child • My favorite song is definitely Dream On. • You may not know this, but Aerosmith isn’t particularly well-known in Korea. • So, when I read the announcement on their official website that they were retiring, I immediately jumped on Reddit for the first time in my life to find any related news. • They were the musicians who truly made me passionate about something during my school days. I loved Steven Tyler’s voice so much that I would hunt down interviews and documentaries to study his vocal techniques. I collected everything from Joe Perry’s performances where he broke guitar strings to various bootlegs. Naturally, my dream was to become a rock star. Even though I hit the wall of reality and ended up as a singer, YouTuber, and amateur listener, I still wanted to work in music somehow, and that’s what I’m doing now. I relieve stress by playing in a band as a hobby. Aerosmith has had a huge influence on my life. • My dream was to see an Aerosmith concert at least once before I die. So, when I heard about the farewell tour, I bought a ticket for the November 3rd concert in San Antonio, USA. I was so excited about the idea of my first trip to America. But then, on November 2nd, I got an email saying the ticket had been refunded. When I checked their official website, I found out they had suddenly retired. I was in a daze for days. I went on Reddit and other communities asking for advice on whether I should still go on this trip now that its main purpose was gone. I ended up deciding it’s probably best not to go. I can’t help but think it would be a waste of money to travel around with a gloomy face, trying to find good food. Maybe if my mood improves, I’ll still go. • But paying tribute to Aerosmith has always been one of my dreams. • So, I sang What It Takes. • Just like the lyrics say, tell me what it takes to let you go, I wish someone could tell me how. • I saw them perform with The Black Crowes two months ago. Even if Steven Tyler’s shouting isn’t as strong anymore, his voice is still incredible. I wish I could’ve seen him, even if he had to lip-sync, and watched him swing his mic stand around. But I guess they have high musical standards. Maybe they just want to leave while people are still clapping. I secretly hope they’ll do one final commemorative performance, even if they’ve quit the tour. • They’ll live on in my heart forever. • / @aerosmissive • This is a channel where I’ve been uploading Aerosmith content since I was young. Maybe you’ll recognize some videos. • • Aerosmith - Cryin' (What would happe... • I also covered Cryin’! • I’m going to keep listening and singing along until the day I die!
