I've done extensive research and testing with this router and provide you guys with my findings and overview of this MU-MIMO Gaming Dual Wan Capable AC88U Asus Router in this Video. • There is an ASUS AC3100 and an ASUS AC3100 AC88U Router(s). These are two DIFFERENT Routers. The AC3100 AC88U version is the higher end version of these two routers. While both are basically the same internally there are some key differences that are important. However, EITHER of these two routers have most of the functions/overview content I cover in this Video. • The RT-AC88U is a nice-looking router. It measures 3.3 by 11.8 by 7.4 inches (HWD) and uses a matte-black housing, with a beveled top and angular sides. The front of the router is home to LED indicators for power, wireless activity for both bands, Internet (WAN) connectivity, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), LAN connectivity, and USB port activity. It utilizes a Broadcom 1.4GHz dual-core processor and Broadcom's NitroQAM technology to deliver up to 3,167Mbps of combined (theoretical) throughput (1,000Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, and 2,167Mbps on the 5GHz band). • There are four removable external antennas (two at the rear and one on each side) and a multitude of ports around back, including a whopping eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB 2.0 port, a WAN port, and a Power jack. In the rear, you'll also find a Power button, a reset button, and a WPS button.
