The Legendary 8 - slopes in Val Gardena! • • Our World Cup athlete Alex Vinatzer present the first of the eight legendary slopes. • • ‘Saslong’: the legendary slope • The slope of the yearly FIS Ski World Cup Men’s speed races. The sunny starting slope at Ciampinoi stretches across unencumbered land to the west until a small wall, representing the slope’s steepest part. The slope then continues to a large wall and the key point in the Alpine World Cup, the legendary ‘Camel Humps’. The slope then proceeds over the hilly Ciaslat meadows until it reaches its steep, final stretch. • Start: mountain station of the Sochers-Ciampinoi chairlift (46.543113, 11.741165) • Finish: Ruacia (46.556999, 11.730368) • Length: 3,750 m, HM: 830 m, average incline: 24.95% (the steepest gradient is 56.9%) • • Enjoy the Legendary 8 ski-runs in Val Gardena...collect the points trough the APP and get the diploma The Legendary 8 . 1. Download the ‘Summitlynx’ APP (Android or iOS) and sign up. You can also use the browser version at https://www.summitlynx.com 2. Activate the GPS (position) function on your smartphone and open at the start and end of the slope the APP. Your phone should recognise the location and all you have to do is confirm/save it. 3. Enjoy the descent and the view! 4. Once you have skied all eight downhills, show the ‘Legendary 8’ performance on one of the three Tourist Offices in Val Gardena in order to receive your prize and your digital ‘The Legendary 8’ diploma. • Are you ready?
