Arianespace has successfully launched two satellites with an Ariane 5 on behalf of the Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute. • This was the third Arianespace mission so far in 2020, all successful, with three more launches coming up in March. • With this mission, which is dedicated to space-based communications and environmental monitoring in Asia, Arianespace reaffirms its strength in the export market and once again contributes to a better life on Earth. • On Tuesday, February 18 at 22:18 UTC (Universal Time Coordinates), Arianespace successfully launched two satellites using an Ariane 5 rocket from the Guiana Space Center (CSG), Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana (South America): JCSAT-17 for the Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, and GEO-KOMPSAT-2B for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).
