Welcome to Episode 3 of 10 recipes to get pregnant π Save and share this recipe πΏ • Chicken Marinade π • 500g chicken, cut into pieces • 1 cup yogurt • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste • 1 tsp turmeric powder • 2 tsp red chili powder • 1 tsp garam masala • Salt to taste • For the Rice • 2 cups Shashtalik rice (an ancient variety of rice known for its nutritional benefits) • 4 cups water • For the Biryani: • 3 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) • 2 large onions, thinly sliced • 2 tomatoes, chopped • 2 green chilies, slit • 1/2 cup mint leaves, chopped • 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped • 1/2 cup warm milk • 1 tsp cumin seeds • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds • Instructions: • β¨οΈMarinate the Chicken:In a large bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. • Add chicken pieces and coat them well with the marinade.Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results). • β¨οΈWash and soak Shashtalik rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain.In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. • Add cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, and salt. Add the soaked rice and cook until 70-80% done. Drain and set aside. • β¨οΈCook the Chicken: • Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a large pan. • Add onions and cook until golden brown. • Add cumin seeds and fennel seeds. • Add marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is 80% cooked. • β¨οΈLayer the Biryani: • In a heavy-bottomed pot, add a layer of the partially cooked rice. Spread a layer of the chicken mixture over the rice.Repeat the layers • Warm the milk slightly and pour his over the top layer of rice. • Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
