Thank you to ‪@safeintheseat‬ for raising awareness of hot car safety. Hot car tragedies happen to good parents too. We are here to share some tips that will help parents avoid tragedy. • Remember: the number one way to prevent it from happening to you is to believe it can! • Helpful strategies: • ▶️ Pay attention to vehicle reminder systems. • ▶️ Look before you lock! • ▶️ Keep an essential item like keys, purse, or even your left shoe in the back. • ▶️ Check in with family members or daycare around the time of drop-off. • ▶️ Place a stuffed animal in the car seat when your child is not in it. Leave it in the front with you when they are in the vehicle so you see it before exiting the vehicle. • Make sure all caregivers who transport your child are on board with your strategies.
