Angelini Osteria • • “delicious cooking at this humble osteria has been drawing crowds for more than two decades” • Michelin Guide • • “hands down, the best Italian chef in LA” • Time Magazine • • Our brunch reservation was for 11:30am and we initially experienced cloudy skies, yet it was followed by partial clearing so outdoor dining was a good decision. • We began with Tenuta Guado al Tasso Il Bruciato 2021 which is a Bordeaux Red Blend from Bolgheri, Tuscany, Italy. It’s intensely ruby red in color and offers notes of small ripe red fruit, sweet spices, and tobacco. The palate, excellent structure, remarkably mouth filling with a pleasant fruity aftertaste that imparts easy drinkability. It was so smooth and perfect; we knew it would be the start to a highly pleasing meal • • The Food. • • Ahi Tuna Tartare • grilled crostino, arugula, pistachios, shallots, extra virgin olive oil 28 • A unique and unexpected twist with pistachios, high quality sushi-grade tuna with a pinch of sea salt and hint of lemon. Impressive and tasty on toasty baguette slice. • • Salumi Board • prosciutto di parma, mortadella, speck, salami, fresh burrata, mixed baby greens 26 • This is baby daddy’s regular restaurant order and said it’s one of the best. If you’ve been to Da Franco in Sorrento, they are known for their meats which hang from the ceiling and eating the thinly cut slices, it’s an exquisite melt in your mouth experience. Same quality and delicious. • • Tagliolini Limone • house-made tagliolini, lemon, cream, parmigiano reggiano 25 • Luscious, creamy, and cheesy with fresh lemon juice. You must try this one. • • Carrot Cake Nutella • vaniglia custard sauce 14 • A unique dessert combination yet with Nutella?
