🍒 SUBSCRIBE to my channel: https://goo.gl/fXFcUk • London Bars - soft, moist, delicious bars with lemon tasting cake-like base paired with apricot jam, walnut meringue and crunchy walnuts on top. These bars taste amazing! • • Ingredients: • 4.93 oz (140 g) butter, room temperature • 2.82 oz (80 g) sugar • 1 egg • juice and zest of one lemon • 8.64 oz (245 g) all-purpose flour • 0.35 oz (10 g) baking powder • 4 egg whites • 7.05 oz (200 g) powdered sugar • 5.3 oz (150 g) ground walnuts • 5-6 tbsp apricot jam • chopped walnuts to sprinkle on top • • Grease and flour 22 cm(~ 9″) baking pan. • Beat butter and sugar until creamy. • Add egg, juice and zest of one lemon and continue beating until well combined. • In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder. • Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture. Work the dough with your hands to mix ingredients well.
