Your basal rate settings determine the amount of basal insulin you receive each hour on your insulin pump. You can set multiple basal rates to meet your insulin needs throughout the day. Basal rates may change from time to time. Watch this how-to video for instructions on changing your basal rate on your MiniMed™ 670G system. • The MiniMed™ 670G system with SmartGuard™ technology is the worlds first integrated insulin pump system that mimics some of the functions of a healthy pancreas. This breakthrough technology automatically adjusts (some user interaction required) to help keep glucose levels in range so you can spend more time enjoying life and less time managing diabetes. • The MiniMed™ 670G system is for type 1 ages 14 and over. May not be safe for younger than 7 or using less than 8 units of insulin/day. It is not recommended to calibrate your CGM device when sensor or blood glucose values are changing rapidly e.g. following a meal of physical exercise.
