Check out our cooking video library at http://thechoppingblock.net/Chopping-.... • Shelley demonstrates how to make a fresh tomatillo salsa, a staple in Mexican cuisine. • Tomatillo Salsa • 1 pound tomatillos, husks removed, rinsed and diced • 1 jalepeno, seeds and core removed • 1 Tablespoon fresh oregano • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro • 3 green onions, rough chop • 1/2 teaspoon cumin • 1 garlic clove • 2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste • 1/2 cup water (less or more based on how you like the consistency of the salsa, use less for thicker and more for thinner) • Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend to the desired consistency.
