1983 Tyrrell 012 Cosworth V8 F1 Sound at Spa Acceleration amp Pit Revving

Yet another video of an F1 car we saw during the Spa Six Hours event in 2014. This time it's the Tyrrell 012 sponsored by Benetton, a company that would later own its own F1 team making some of the fastest and best looking F1 cars of all time! • But for now it's this wonderfull Tyrrell 012 powered by a Cosworth F1 engine. It counts 8 cilinders, laying in a 90° V-shape. All together it puts out 530 bhp at 11 600 rpm. And as you can see in the video, that seems to be more than enough to deliver the driver a good bit of fun! • Of course, 1983 was around the time the monsters of Formula One came to the scene, which meant that 530 bhp was never going to be enough to win the world championship. In the 80s Formula One cars produced well over 1000 bhp. I'll take the infamous Brabham BT52 as an example. Or the 6 cilinder turbocharged Lotus 97T Ayrton Senna drove in 1986 that could generate more than 1200 horsepower with the qualification configuration.
