Both WireGuard and OpenVPN are VPN Protocols that can be used to securely connect back to your home network and are compatible with both Mac, Windows and Linux! However the way that the protocols encrypt and send protect your data have differing performance overheads that become incredibly apparent when dealing with the lower CPU speed with a RaspberryPi. • In this video I set up both a WireGuard and OpenVPN server using PiVPN Project and connect to them from a segmented network. This then allows for an ideal performance comparison between the two protocols, which will show the theoretical maximum that these VPN servers can achieve when hosted on a RaspberryPi4. • Hire Me! https://www.spacerex.co/hire-me/ • Get Early Access to Videos!    / @spacerexwill   • SpaceRex Site!: https://www.SpaceRex.co • What is in my Rack: https://www.SpaceRex.co/my-rack/ • Test Cases: • OpenVPN Pi Server Setup:    • Create a VPN Server on RaspberryPi us...   • WireGuard Pi Server Setup:    • Creating a WireGuard VPN Server on Ra...   • Affilate Links: • NordVPN: https://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1002648... • RaspberryPi 4: https://geni.us/PLknu • Cooling Case for the Pi (Better performance): https://geni.us/o9I4lOK • Micro SD Card: https://geni.us/UBuiCTR • *These are Amazon affiliate links, which means that if you purchase a product through one of them, I will receive a small commission (at no additional cost to you).
