The lateral squat is the entry point into all lateral-based strength training. At first this exercise can be challenging, but patience and repetition will teach you how to sit into the hip while maintaining an upright torso. • It is hard to notice upon first glance, but an offset foot position allows the body to sit back into the hip to a greater degree.
