Building seaQuest DSV an RC Model Submarine Part 2

At RapidNadion, we're no strangers to R/C submarines. Our USS Baton Rouge and USS Virginia models have long patrolled the waters of Long Island's East End, diving and surfacing and even firing a few missiles along the way. But those were dynamic-diving boats; we've never tackled a static-diving submarine, and we've never tried building anything as complex as seaQuest DSV, the super-submarine from the 1990s TV show of the same name. Not, that is, until now. • Join us for the second of four videos covering the design and construction of our 51 seaQuest DSV, a 3D-printed replica of the original studio maquette which we purchased from Bob Martin of Nautilus Drydocks. In part 2 of the series, we cover gaining access to the hull, testing the propulsion system, and planning out the placement of the depth control system.
