But the basic theme of seed starting remains. Good soil(seed starting mix, or.....) heat and moisture, along with viable seeds, will mostly yield good results. Seeds do not need lights to germinate. But once germinated, it is beneficial to both seedlings and plants. I use ProMix soil for seed starting and growing out plants for the garden.
