As an expert in Windows clustering, Greg is uniquely qualified to tell you how to use it, and his advice is simple: don’t. He’ll demonstrate a much better option. • Hyper-V has improved substantially over the past few years. One of the advantages you can leverage now is executing Hyper-V live migration without ever having to touch failover clustering. • Greg will outline two options that you can employ. The first is using the Credential Security Support Provider (CredSSP). You likely won’t use this, primarily because you must be logged onto the server to complete the migration. • The second method involves using Kerberos and configuring constrained delegation. Although constrained delegation sounds challenging, it boils down to merely allowing one Hyper-V host to tell the other Hyper-V hosts that you’re sending a virtual machine using live migration. As he explains this method, Greg will demonstrate each step in the video. • ✨ Download the Ultimate Virtualization Cert Guide: https://blog.cbt.gg/n5cj • ⬇️ 4-Week Study Plan: Linux+ (XK0-004): https://blog.cbt.gg/debt • • Start learning with CBT Nuggets: • • Azure Migration | https://courses.cbt.gg/a7o • • Real-World Exchange Migration | https://courses.cbt.gg/fb8 • • Domains ADMT and Federations | https://courses.cbt.gg/5ag
