This is part 2 in this series on the endocrine system in which we will be talking about Cushing's vs Addison's. We will be covering all the ways in which they are similar but more importantly, all the ways in which they are different. • We start the lesson off with a quick review of the pathway for corticosteroid production as a review from the previous lesson. We talk about the hypothalamus releasing CRH to stimulate the pituitary gland to release ACTH and this stimulating the adrenal cortex to release its hormones. • From there we start talking about Addison's disease.
