Hello everyone from Sonia. Today we'll se how to prepare the orange sauce. It is a sauce used to combine with desserts, or to cook some kinds of meat, as a side dish. Let's check what we need: 2 oranges, the juice of half lemon, 50 grams of sugar, 25 grams of Grand Marnier. Let's begin: we put on the stove a saucepan with water and a pinch of salt, then we peel one of the oranges, using a potato peeler so the skins will result thinner. Then we put the skins in a pot to boil for a couple of minutes. Once the orange skins are ready, we dry them well and we cut them into narrow strips. Then we cut in two the oranges and we squeeze them to obtain orange juice. Now we candy the sugar until it becomes amber-colored and we add the orange juice. We let everything boil until the sauce becomes more consistent. It will take 5 or 6 minutes. The sauce is ready; once we have taken it out of the stove, we add the Grand Marnier and the orange skins. This sauce can be used both hot and cold and it can be conserved in the fridge for a few days. Goodbye from Sonia and see you to the next recipe.
