How to Clean a Dirty Hat The BEST Way

In this video, I’ll show you the best way to clean a dirty hat! Follow these steps, and your hat will look brand new: • 1. Fill a sink with water. Warm water is best, but make sure that it is compatible with the material of your hat (warm water will shrink wool). • 2. Apply laundry detergent (with no bleach) to dirtiest areas of the hat. • 3. Take an old toothbrush and gently scrub in the detergent on the dirty areas. • 4. Using the toothbrush, add water to create suds with the soap and to spread the cleaning solution. • 5. On heavy stains, use a magic eraser to remove them. Gentle swiping strokes will work best to remove the dirt and grime. • 6. Rinse the hat thoroughly will cool, clean water to wash the dirt and remaining detergent away. • 7. Pat the hat dry with a clean towel. • 8. Allow the hat to air dry.
