copyright Bradley Ambrose / Brad White ©2014 • While filming inside the Marum volcano on Ambrym in Vanuatu, a large projection of lava bursts out of the lava lake and crashes over cameraman Bradley (Ambrose) White. Filmed on a Canon 5dm2 and GoPro Hero 3+. • I've measured the temperature of the lapilli (lava ejections) previously between 600-800 degrees Celsius. • I was extremely lucky to not have been hit by a lava bomb. • Jukin Media Verified (Original) • For licensing / permission to use: Contact - licensing(at)jukinmediadotcom • • Not for broadcast without permission • copyright 2014 • Cameraman Bradley Ambrose has a close call with falling lava projected from the Marum lava lake on Ambrym Island as he films within metres of the edge. • The splatter lands around him, hitting his camera gear and himself. Lava bombs and lapilli have been measured between 600-800 degrees celsius at this volcano. • To get this close to the lava lake involves a 300-400m rappel inside the crater. • Jukin Media Verified (Original) • For licensing / permission to use: Contact - licensing(at)jukinmediadotcom • copyright Bradley Ambrose © • not for broadcast without consent • To get this close yourself (ok, maybe not this close...) check out http://ultimatevolcanoexpeditions.com
