Rep. Adam Schiff, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, pushed back against Republican Rep. Jim Jordan’s claim that Schiff knows the identity of the whistleblower whose complaint led to the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. In the first public hearings in the impeachment probe, Jordan asked Schiff when lawmakers would be able to hear from the whistleblower. “You are the only member who knows who that individual is,” Jordan said. “That’s a false statement.
