Today we’re taking the brand new Bf-109G-6 by FlyingIron up for it’s first aerobatic display. I’ve been looking forward to it ever since it was announced. The other three airplanes by FlyingIrons are all among my top 10 in MSFS, with the Spitfire and Hellcat among the top 3, so my expectations for the Messerschmitt were extremely high. • I have to say my expectations were completely shattered. The Bf-109 is in a whole new league. It’s absolutely fantastic! The visual model is more detailed than the previous releases. The sounds are amazing. Together with the DC-3 it’s probably the best sounding aircraft in the sim! There is a lot of systems depth and it’s the trickiest aircraft in the sim…as it should be. And when I say tricky not in the unpredictable way of some early taildragger releases in MSFS but in a very plausible and realistic way. • When doing aerobatics, you must be very precise! For a loop for instance, you’ll need all three axis. It’s very important to ease back on the elevator input when approaching the top of the loop, otherwise you will stall. • Like I said the Bf-109 is fantastic and it will probably become my favorite plane in the sim. The only thing that I would love to see in an update somewhere down the road would be a custom pilot model, like with the other three releases and working side windows in the early canopy. • • Hardware used: • Ryzen 7 5800X • 32GB RAM • RTX 3080 • 00:00 Intro • 00:38 Startup • 03:20 Taxi • 05:24 Runup • 06:44 Takeoff • 07:23 External Takeoff view • 08:07 Climbing • 09:48 Aerobatic Display • 23:48 Go Around • 24:27 External View of Go Around • 26:05 Landing • 27:12 External Landing View • 27:59 Taxi • 29:16 Shutdown • 30:16 Spectator View Takeoff • 30:48 Spectator View Display • 39:48 Spectator View Go Around • 40:24 Spectator View Landing
