Tallinn, Estonia, is a beautiful and stunning European Baltic capital with a long, complicated history, which is most visible in its storybook-like medieval town—one of the most well-preserved in all of Europe. Big Small walk the cobblestone streets of Tallinn, where we visit the oldest continuously running pharmacy in Europe, the former KGB headquarters, a Depeche Mode-themed bar, grand towers, imposing churches, and several other old and new sites. • We also meet up with a few Tallinn locals who share some interesting historical tidbits (like why the town hall looks so much like a church) and teach us a few key Estonian words. Of course, the Soviet history is also still very much present, as we see at the Vabamu Music of Occupations and Freedom and during a free Communist walking tour. • Along with its history, Tallinn is also a city that eagerly looks to the future, especially in the creative and tech areas of Telliskivi and Kalamaja, where we share the streets with some fast-moving robots.
