In this video I will show you how to make hurmašice bosnian syrup biscuit, with butter, according to my grandmother’s recipe. Beautiful, melts in your mouth. • So let's start cooking ... • INGREDIENTS: • Dough: • -1.5 butter, • -1 egg, • -1 tablespoon sugar, • -1 tablespoon water, • -flour as needed (about 550-600 g). • Agda (syrip): • -900 g of sugar, • -water to cover sugar 2cm • PREPARATION: • First make an syrup. Put sugar in the pot and pour cold water over it so that the water level exceeds the sugar level by approximately 2 cm. When the syrup boils, reduce to medium heat and cook for about 20 minutes. Take a little agde on a spoon and check with your finger if it is sticky. Agda should be sticky, it should be neither too watery nor too thick. • When the agda is cooked, remove it from the stove and leave it to cool, and put the butter to melt. • Meanwhile, prepare the dough for the hurmašice . In a large bowl, mix the egg, a tablespoon of sugar, a tablespoon of water and butter. Add the flour gradually until the dough stops sticking to your hands and until it is suitable for shaping. • Divide the dough into balls first, so that the dates are the same size. Roll the ball first between the palms, so that the width of the roller is approximately the width of the palm, then lightly press on the grater, and shape the date.
