The Karnala Bird Sanctuary is located in Panel Taluka of Raigad District, outside Mumbai, India near Matheran and Karat. It is the first bird sanctuary in Maharashtra. • . • . • Karnala is located bit far from any local nearby stations. I travelled there with a grouo of 16 people and we got down at panel and took taxi for the location. It is a 25 to 30 minutes drive.There is an entrance fee in the start and have to pay extra charges for professional camera's If any. We were checked for any plastic bags or bottles which can be thrown and was registered. • We were allowed to carry those along only if we bring the empty plastic waste back with us after use and not throw the waste in the nature. If so done there was a penalty charged for littering.In start the trekking was going pretty simple just walking but somewhere after completing the 30% of the path we started facing difficult obetacles. • Like climbing huge rocks. Muddy region. making our grip loose and slipping on a slant way. There was time when I slipped very bad backwards almost for 50 feets without any protection and no support I had to my hands and body other than my foot just to bring back my balance and grip. After that I started putting pressure on each and every step ahead. We climbed many obstacle other than just rocks like climbing steps at the edge of cliff. Saving out selfs from wild monkeys and helping each other out where the passage was very risky to go ahead. We reached to the top almost after 2.5 to 3 hours with 4 to 5 halts.Half of our group was left behind who coped up with us and met us at the top.The return descending was fast it took us just 1.5 hrs to get back down. and one of my friend stayed at the top for 15 extra minutes and we enjoyed clicking pictures and using the nature as a map like pub.The overall experience we fantastic it was thrilling and the most dangerous thing I have done until now.There wes no harm done to anyone in the whole journey we took care of that especially the girls. • #staysafe #enjoy #views #withfriends #lovingplace #karnalabirdsanctuary
