If you're wondering how to put together and care for your clarinet, our Clarinet Assembly and Basic Maintenance video is just for you! Whether it's the first time you've ever seen your clarinet, or just the first time in a long time, we strive to give simple, clear, and concise instructions for putting together your clarinet, and providing basic clarinet care and maintenance. • ITEMS USED: • Clarinet • Clarinet reed • Cork grease • Clarinet swab • SUMMARY: • 1) Assemble the clarinet from the outside in, and remember it gets larger as it goes from top to bottom. • 2) Grease all of the corks before beginning, and keep in mind you won't need as much grease the longer you've had your clarinet. • 3) Put the barrel on the upper joint, and the bell on the bottom joint to make two halves. • 4) MAKE SURE the bridge key is raised when you assemble (or disassemble) the two halves, and make sure all the keys are in line. • 5) Your mouthpiece and reed should ALWAYS go on last, and come off first, to prevent them from getting damaged. • 6) Always swab your clarinet when you finish playing it. • 7) Always put each piece back into the case as you take your clarinet apart. • Enjoy! • ------------------------- • No matter what level of musician you are, beginner to professional, Schmidt's Music in Pensacola Florida has everything you need! • We are proud to be Pensacola's ONLY band and orchestra specialty store, and our knowledgable and experienced staff are standing by to help you with instrument purchases, instrument rentals, instrument accessories, and more. • Find us on Facebook and Instagram, feel free to reach out to us toll-free at 800-835-6326, or just swing by our beautiful downtown Pensacola location.
