Botanica aims to provide visitors with experiences that promote social connection and inclusion, and creative participation and sensory involvement with the city and gardens. Botanica 2023 was held from 12-21 May 2023 and focused on sustainability. The artists responded to the theme ‘Tread Softly’ which considered a millennium of human influence by reflecting on our natural environments. • Botanica 2023 saw 10 artists and collectives present a diverse selection of large-scale works ranging from sculpture and projections to augmented reality and interactive creations.
