Woke up at Cathy and Warrens, packed up and hit the trail at Jug End Road. Pleasant weather made for an exceptionally nice hiking day. Caught some amazing and unexpected foliage approaching the MA CT border. Mt. Race was stunning with all the bright popping colors. After Mt Race came Sages Ravine, a place that stands out in my memories of the trail for the beautiful spiritual vibes I feel there. I was hit with more amazing colors towards the end of the ravine moving south towards Bear Mountain CT. Climbing Bear Mountain into CT the colors seemed to only get more deep and vivid. As I made it to the peak the sun was disappearing into the horizon displaying a breathtaking view of surrounding mountains and the sky.
