Being a weekend warrior he wanted a durable vehicle that he could turn Into an off-road family camper, or bug-out vehicle if the need would arise. Tom describes many reasons why an ambulance is perfect for a conversion. Durability, tons of storage on the exterior, and high clearance on the underbody when traveling through the mountains are a few reasons; but a big reason is it's shaped in a perfect square. This shape allows all levels of carpentry skills to complete tasks easier. For only being about 100 sq. ft of inside, this conversion allows for all the necessitates and no space is wasted.
