HOT SURF FISHING for False Albacore Oct 2018

The forecast showed 10-12mph winds in the morning increasing to 20-30 in the afternoon, met up with pickle and chase early morning to go out in their boat targeting albies.. the wind was already blowing a little too strong to fish comfortably on pickles boat… we caught some micro bonito’s off a leatherback turtle and then hit the surf for the rest of the day. The albies ended up coming to shore and we got into a hot blindcast bite in the 25-30mph wind which destroyed the audio but made for a sweet bite. Bill, Pickly, Chase and myself each caught 6-8 albies before they moved offshore later in the afternoon.
