Bernardino Custodio - Prelude (1977) • Aries Caces (piano) • ------------------ • This Prelude which was commissioned as a contest piece is in ternary farm. The first section is a series of broken chords in sixteenth notes cascading and rapidly moving in quartal-quintal intervals, perhaps portraying children at play while the contrasting middle section uses the folk melody Tulog na bunso with a lullaby treatment, suggesting children at rest.
