Take the messiness out of frying hush puppies with an air fryer. These hush puppies are delicious and perhaps a little more dense than pan fried hush puppies. For the best Stone Ground cornmeal, visit us at https://www.bonnecazefarms.com/store/ • Air Fryer Hush Puppies • Ingredients: • 1 Cup Papa Tom's Stone Ground Corn Meal • 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour • 1 tsp sugar • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder • 1/2 tsp salt • 3/4 Cup low fat buttermilk • 1 egg • Seasonings: We used 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp minced onions, 1/2 tsp parsley flakes • You may also use minced fresh onions and bell pepper (about 2 Tbsp each) • Directions: • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (~3 minutes) • Add all of the dry ingredients, including dry seasonings to a bowl and stir until mixed. • Add the egg to the buttermilk and whisk until combined. • Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until combined. • If using, add the onions and bell pepper and combine. • Line the air fryer basket with foil and spray with an olive oil spray or non stick spray. • Drop mixture by the spoonful into the basket, don't overcrowd. • Cook in the air fryer for about 5 minutes (times vary based on the air fryer that you are using), check after 5 minutes to ensure it's done. • Let cool and serve. • Perfect with air fried shrimp or fish, or as we served it, with just a drizzle of honey! • Bonnecaze Farms, LLC • 11441 Cedar Park Ave, Bldg 2 • Baton Rouge, LA 70809 • (225) 756-5046 • https://www.bonnecazefarms.com/ • #PapaTomsCornmeal • #AirFryerHushPuppies • #StonegroundCornmeal • • Air Fryer Hush Puppies Recipe
