Remove the battery from the helicopter. • 2. Remove the 1.6x5 BCS (4) from the lower main frame using the 1.5mm hex wrench. Remove the lower main frame. • 3. GENTLY unplug each damaged motor from the receiver circuit board. Do not bend the supporting LEDs or move the receiver circuit board. • 4. Pull up on the end of the LED lenses to remove the lenses from the arms. Note: Before removing the damaged motors/wires, make note of the wire connector color to ensure correct placement during new motor installation. Motors with white/black wires and a black connector and motors with red/black wires and a red connector should be matched with the corresponding color connector location on the receiver circuit board, labeled A (black) and B (red). Also, make note of the wire routing. • 5. Remove the wires from the grooves in the arm, and remove each damaged motor from its slot. • 6. Install the new motor(s). Rotate the rotor blade during installation to ensure proper meshing of the gears. • 7. Fold the wires close to the motor, and route the wires down the arm. Press the wires into the wire clips using a soft tool. Be careful not to damage the motor wires during installation and routing. • 8. Reinstall each LED lens by hooking the front of the lens into the end of the arm and then snapping it into place. • Note: If the LED lens will not snap into place, verify correct wire routing and ensure the wires are completely in the wire clips. • 9. Loop the motor wire around the adjacent motor wire to ensure that the wires do not interfere with battery installation and removal. • 10. Plug each motor wire connector into the receiver circuit board. • 11. Reinstall the lower main frame and the 1.6x5 BCS (4). • For a PDF version of the above instructions, with illustrations, visit: http://latrax.com/pdfs/6608-KC1951-R0... • To learn more about the LaTrax Alias visit: http://latrax.com/alias-overview.htm
