We present the best places to visit in the Sierra Gorda of Queretaro! • The Sierra Gorda de Queretaro is a Biosphere Reserve designated in 2001 by UNESCO. It is located in the State of Queretaro in north-central Mexico, and occupies more than 30% of the state. It also extends through the neighboring states of Guanajuato, Hidalgo and San Luis Potosí. The diversity of its flora and fauna makes the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve the second richest protected natural area in Mexico. Today we will delve into its rivers, its waterfalls and its views from the top of the Sierra Gorda in Pinal de Amoles, Queretaro. • To get to the Sierra Gorda you must take the Mexico-Queretaro Federal Highway and take the exit towards Queretaro Airport, where you will continue to Peña de Bernal. On the same road the signs will begin to mark Jalpan. This is where the views start to be spectacular. Do not abandon that Highway because it will take you to our first stop: Puerta del Cielo. The second stop will be Cascada El Chuveje, 20 minutes from Pinal de Amoles. The third stop will be Puente de Dios, Cañón de la Angostura and Sendero Río Escanela. The fourth stop will be in Pinal de Amoles.
