But until recently, we have not really seen the capability of these motors and the power they posses. Troy, the owner, has made it a goal to get this boat to 30mph. His boat is brand new 1860 Tracker Grizzly. Frankie over at Piedmont Custom Fab here is GA is the builder of this project. He has already gutted the boat and installed the framing. Frankie makes his own lids as well, which just came back from powder coating. The batteries were built in Illinois by a young new company called Underground Power. Specializing in Lithium Batteries for the car audio world, they have recently began dabbling in the Marine market. 680lbs of lithium batteries are inside this boat. That may sound like a lot, but it doesn't seem to phase the Elco. • This Jon Boat to Bass Boat is well on its way to making a statement in electric jon boat fishing tournaments. • Troy is enjoying his electric outboard motor.
