Here is reason #157 as to why Kevin keeps his beard! Gideon is legally blind and severe-to-profoundly deaf due to a rare genetic disorder called Peroxisomal Biogenesis Disorder. In addition to his vision and hearing loss, there are many other challenges Gideon faces. When he was diagnosed at 7 months old, we realized why touch was so important to him. We are always looking for new ways to play and bring the outside world to him. (PSA for Germaphobes: Gideon can't walk, so his feet are clean.)
